'My Fair Lady' - Charming, quite charming

This has been a big year for me in terms of attending live performances - both as an audience member and as a performer. This makes the fourth live musical this year and there are still a few months to go!

With a few big names in the cast, 'My Fair Lady' has had a pretty good marketing campaign and is an old favourite.

From the circle, we enjoyed a the witty lines, elegant costumes and clever set design. I really don't have the words to describe the experience. My favourite was the Ascot scene with the terribly bored racegoers singing about the "thrilling, absolutely chilling" race, and Eliza's ripping conversation about the weather and everybody's health. XD

What a lovely way to spend the evening - going to a show.

hi flo! ooh didn't realise you were going. Fun! did you have to line up for long? the other day I was having sushi at the place around the corner from the theatre and we saw a loooooooooooooooooong line passing in front of it - wondered what it was for and realised it must be for My Fair Lady!

Well, considering that I got there with practically no time to spare, I didn't really have to line up 'cos everyone was already heading in to their seats. But yeah, there were a fair number of people.
