A Sunday with kids, most under the age of ten, is an exhausting experience. I rostered myself onto working on this day, which entailed setting up, talking to kids and their parents and helping them dress up in togas and various other ancient dress. I have to admit, dressing kids up is more difficult than it might seem at first.
The number of visitors were improved by the Independent Schools Expo which occurred in McLaurin Hall upstairs from the museum. Outside, we had set up a pit where the kids were able to 'excavate' items. It was very popular.
The highlight of my day was the souvlaki I had for lunch, provided for by the Greek Society.
The day rained out and having forgotten to pack an umbrella, I had to wander over to the bus stop to get home.
