Athenian Greek Restaurant

May 2011

We went to the Athenian Greek Restaurant in Sydney for Mum's birthday lunch at my sister's behest.

It was really quiet that day, but the space was large there were plenty of tables.

We went with the banquet menu and were offered refills on our bread. By the time we'd made out way through most of the menu, we were all really full, as our family, though large, does not eat as much as might be expected.

Then the moussaka came out and it looked quite heavy and none of us thought we had room for more, with dessert to come. But it would have been a waste not to try it. First time I've had moussaka, and it was delicious, went down really smoothly.

The postscript to this incident was the I did not feel like eating anything until lunch again the next day... so much food, kept me full for so long.
