Seville to Madrid: Too Long On The Bus

Thursday

After my strange day by myself, we took a walk to the bus station in the morning before splitting up.

S and I went to a convent near the Cathedral where they sell things for 1 euro each. It´s basically a window in the wall where there is a wooden turning thing. Not knowing what to do, we put some money on it and rang the bell. Someone began speaking Spanish to us from the other side and we ended up with two packets of Communion wafer offcuts.

Went for hot chocolate and churros after that. I really like Spanish hot chocolate - very dark and very thick.

S went back for a nap as she wasn´t feeling well, so I visited almost every souviner shop in the area looking at things, as she doesn´t like souvenir shopping. Returned to make a late-ish lunch and had a chat to another person staying at the hostel.

Took a walk after that, looking at things on the way to the supermarket for things for dinner. Got a belated birthday gift for A (anyone who wants to know what it is can ask her themselves ^.^).

Spent the evening making dinner and chatting with the only other three people staying at the hostel; listening to travel stories, etc. A and L went to a flamenco show nearby. Had to pack as we were leaving really early the next morning.

Friday

Still dark when we had boarded the coach and were driving out of Seville. Didn´t sleep too well on the coach. A couple of films played during the trip - Ask the Dust and Deadly Water - neither of which I really watched as the scenery was more interesting and I was too tired to concentrate.

Got a bit confused finding the hostel after successfully negotiating the metro, but a British chap helped us as he was staying at the hostel we were looking for. Went looking for a late lunch as we were all really hungry from travelling all day. That´s where I´ve gotten to so far.
