Another Attempt

I've attempted a few blogs over the years, just as I've attempted to keep a diary/journal. Each attempt has degenerated though, often as I get snowed under by obligations, deadlines and other commitments or distractions.

I wonder how this attempt with go. Not being glib at expressing what I really think, this is probably a good opportunity to exercise this aspect of my creativity. It will hopefully improve my other writing skills.

Possibly, the sudden decision to start another blog is due to:

• one of my classes this semester requiring me to contribute to a class discussion and write a blog weekly: tedious but kind of interesting
• reading other people's blogs (no names mentioned), who have been blogging continuously for a number of years, and being entertained and educated (to a certain degree)
• a serious desire to have some form of writing practice outside of university assessments; I fear that my written communication skills have deteriorated over the past couple of years and that is not good news for my creative writing ambitions.
  

At the moment, I'm not too sure what I'll be writing about here though. We'll see.
